Opening a bank account for your mini-business

For mini-businesses that wish to work with a bank account (for example, if they want to sell their products online), it is possible to open an account with our partner bank, Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL), sponsor of Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg. Since the process can be quite administratively heavy, we only recommend opening a bank account for mini-entrepreneurs who truly need it.

As BIL supports all mini-businesses, they can use the bank’s logo as a sponsor. This year, BIL is covering the registration fees for the “Mini-Entreprise” program for all mini-businesses.

IMPORTANT:

  • To apply for a bank account, upload the de facto association agreement (template in the documents to download) to the OneDrive shared with JEL (before October 24, 2025).
  • At least two people must be listed on the de facto association agreement.
  • To speed up the process of opening your bank account, select (if possible) students who are of legal age, who will manage and have access to the bank account.
  • For the rest of the procedure, you can already gather the following documents: identity cards, residence certificates (accessible via MyGuichet), school certificates
  • More information will follow soon!
  • Don’t forget to close your bank account after the mini-company is dissolved!
